Skill Set needed:

JAVA/J2EE, JSP, JSTL, Servlet containers: XML, XSLT, Web Services SOAP or REST, Spring framework (including web technologies, dependency injection, JDBC templates, transactions, aspects), Javascript technologies (jQuery, JSON, AJAX), Log4J, Apache Commons, Xerxes, Xalan, ORACLE, SQL, RDBMS, , Eclipse IDE, Tomcat, Jetty, Ant/Maven, SVN, Testing and testing strategies: JUnit, HTMLUnit

Job Requirements:

At least 3+ years JAVA/J2EE development experience using Java Standard and Enterprise editions
At least 1+ years experience in Database Technologies, i.e. ORACLE, PLSQL, RDBMS
Minimum 3 years experience using Web Services SOAP or REST (integration with SaaS platforms preferred)
Must have excellent documentation, collaboration and communication skills
Having good understanding of OOPS concepts and multi tier architecture application development
Having strong analytical, problem solving and presentation skills
Good knowledge of SDLC phases and quality process
Knowledge on .NET is big Plus

High Level Project Need:
Build a web service and web based rate engine for Washington National products
Build a web service based rules and product templating engine to drive 3rd party enrollment platforms.
Both above will be built in Java using open source technologies targeting a Servlet container for deployment.
These software will run on agent laptops
